 Color Idioms [ Part 1 - Red ] 

ကလစ်ကာ​လေးတို့​ရေ ဒီတစ်​ခေါက်မှာ​တော့ ကျ​နော်က အ​ရောင်​တွေထည့်ပြီး သုံးတဲ့ idiom ​လေး​တွေကို sharing လုပ်​ပေးသွားမှာ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ ဒီ​နေ့မှာ​တော့ Part- 1 အ​နေနဲ့ Red ကို သုံးတဲ့ idiom ​လေး​တွေကို အရင်ဆုံး​ပြောပြ​ပေးသွားပါမယ်ဗျ။ ကဲ ​အောက်မှာ ဆက်ပြီး ဖတ်ကြည့်ရ​အောင်...

1. Red Tape - ​ရှုပ်​ထွေးပြီး မလိုအပ်ပဲ နှောင့်​နှေးကြန့်ကြာ​စေတဲ့ လုပ်ငန်းဆိုင်ရာ official rules ​တွေ၊ procedures ​တွေကို ​ပြောချင်တဲ့​နေရာမှာ သုံးပါတယ်။ 

ဥပမာဆိုရင်- You have to go through endless red tape to get a visa. 

("မင်း visa ​လေးတစ်ခုရဖို့အ​ရေး မဆုံးနိုင်တဲ့ form ​တွေ​လျှောက်ဖြည့်ရ၊ အဆင့်​တွေအများကြီး ဖြတ်​ကျော်ရမယ်" လို့ ဆိုလိုပါတယ်)

2. To see red - အရမ်း​ဒေါသထွက်​နေတာကို​ပြောတဲ့အခါ သုံးပါတယ်

ဥပမာဆိုရင် I didn't mean to say that. I just saw red.

("ငါ အဲ့လို​ပြောဖို့ ရည်ရွယ်ခဲ့တာမဟုတ်ဘူး။ ဒီအတိုင်း အရမ်း​ဒေါသထွက်သွားတာ" လို့ ဆိုလိုပါတယ်)

3. To paint the town red - bars ​တွေ clubs ​တွေလို ​နေရာ​တွေ ​လျှောက်သွားပြီး ​ပျော်ရွှင်မှုကို ခံစားတာကို ​ပြောချင်ရင် သုံးပါတယ်။

ဥပမာ- Let's go out tonight and paint the town red!

("ဒီညအပြင်ထွက်ပြီး ​ပျော်လိုက်ကြရ​အောင်")

4. The red carpet treatment - အရမ်းထူးထူးခြားခြား ဧည့်ခံကြိုဆိုဆက်ဆံတာမျိုးမှာ သုံးပါတယ်

ဥပမာ- Once in a lifetime, I got the red carpet treatment.

( ငါ့တစ်သက်မှာ တစ်ခါ​တော့ တကယ့် special treatment ကြီးကို ရလိုက်တာပဲ)

5.  Like a red rag to a bull - တစ်စုံတစ်​ယောက်ကို အရမ်းစိတ်ဆိုး​စေတာမျိုးကို ​​ပြောရင် သုံးပါတယ်

ဥပမာ - For Emma, his blatant actions were like a red rag to a bull. 

(သူ့ရဲ့ အရှက်မရှိတဲ့အပြုအမူ​တွေဟာ ​Emma ကို အရမ်းစိတ်တို​စေပါတယ်)

6. Red-handed - မဟုတ်တာလုပ်​နေတာကို လက်ပူးလက်ကြပ်မိရင် သုံးပါတယ်

ဥပမာ- Due to the brillance of neighbourhood, The thief was caught red-handed. 

(ပတ်ဝန်းကျင်ရဲ့ ​ကောင်းမှု​ကြောင့် သူခိုးကို လက်ပူးလက်ကြပ်ဖမ်းမိခဲ့တယ်) 

7. In the red - အ​ကြွေး​တွေပိ​နေတဲ့အခါ သုံးပါတယ်

ဥပမာ- His family was in the red again due to the bankruptcy. 

(​ဒေဝါလီခံရမှု​ကြောင့် သူ့မိသားစုဟာ အ​ကြွေး​တွေ တင်​သွားခဲ့တယ်)
